"Possibilities"
This is the final composition with elements from all three pictures brought together. This image represents the possibilities that lay before us all.
The interior represents what we know and what we're comfortable with, it's confining but safe, and not very interesting. The river disappearing into the distance and the color from the canoe and paddle offer the thrill of the unknown and the excitement of breaking out of what's safe in order to improve. The door is always open but one of the hardest things to do is to walk through it.

Well this probably has to be my favorite of this project. This is an excellent composed image, with the perfect color balance. I love the mysterious factor that the doors create, and the sense of embarking on a journey. Excellent work.

I really liked the contrast between the two images, Dan - it really gives the feeling of another world, and I also think you did a great job describing your vision during the critique. Hope to see more great work!

I admire your thought process when it came to creating this image, Dan. The contrast between the black and white interior compared to the colorful exterior is very bold, which really enhanced the vision which you described at the critique.
I never noticed the graininess of the black and white, noticeably on the black door, until now. Whether that was intentional or not, I think its a nice detail which helps cements the differences between the two images. Great job!

Dan - I really like your image. Especially the calculated decision to make one piece of this project black and white which adds an additional dimension to the final piece. In addition, I think you explain your thought process very well. I was able to travel along with you as you created it. Nice work.
