In this Project #2, I was trying to put together a night scene: the trailing of the lights with urban landscapes. I added the tree to show that even in the urban landscape natural elements exist. The photos were shot in three places. The trailing lights were taken in Northampton, MA. The skyscrapers are from NYC. The tree is from Riverton, CT. I enjoyed doing this project because seeing many photos as part of one big project expanded my creative perspective. In combining the photos, I considered the colors and how to create continuous lights.

I have just gotten a chance to look through the portfolios of students presenting tomorrow. What a nice portfolio you have, it presents your projects well and I like the reading about the process of each project.

I like the lighting in your images. Is intresting to see how the sky blends with each other, creating odd shapes. You have great images, and the composition is unique. Here we can see the complimentary colors working in harmony. The long exposures tells a story of a busy city. I enjoy looking at this piece, I truly do.
